Crystal Cleansing
I think cleansing crystals should happen when it feels right for you. It shouldn't feel rigid or like you're making a mistake by not adhering to specific timing. If you're inclined to cleanse them during certain moon phases, that's wonderful. However, it's just as perfect if you only feel the urge when you sense they need care and attention.
Here are some beautiful ways you can cleanse your crystals:
Sage: Pass your crystals through the smoke of burning sage, palo santo, or cedar to clear negative energy.
Sunlight: Leave your crystals in direct sunlight for several hours to recharge and cleanse them.
Moonlight: Place your crystals under the light of the full moon overnight to cleanse and enhance their energy.
Salt Bath: Submerge your crystals in a bowl of saltwater (preferably sea salt or Himalayan salt) to draw out negativity.
Running Water: Rinse your crystals under cool, running water, visualizing any negative energy washing away. (Please check your crystals are water safe first)
Earth Burial: Bury your crystals in the soil for a period of time, allowing them to absorb the earth's grounding energy.
Sound Healing: Use sound vibrations from singing bowls, bells, or tuning forks to cleanse and purify your crystals.
Crystal Care
Crystals have been around since the beginning of time and it is important to know they all hold varying degrees of delicacy. Try not to overthink it but here are some basic crystal care tips!
Cleaning: If you choose to clean your crystals the safest way is with a gentle microfiber cloth, soft toothbrush & mild water
Sunlight: Some crystals will fade over time in direct sunlight like window ledges.
Water: Do not submerge your crystals in water for a long period of time and some need to avoid water entirely (pyrite)
Handling: All crystals especially clusters need handled with care as they are natural objects that can easily break
Crystals are a beautiful tool to use alongside your healing journey & life. They are not intended to replace professional advice but are a beautiful support & intuition/energy enhancer.
Crystals are unique gifts from nature transformed and created over up to millions of years, each piece has its own special journey and as such no two are ever the same. The crystals contain small fissures and pists and imperfections and as part of differing lighting during photography the colours may vary. Pieces will also include inclusions that may show up differently in photography. Please take ALL of these as a sign your crystals are from nature not grow or printed in a lab, we welcome every little sign your treasures are real they are not "bad" pieces.
This is a guide only. It is advisable that you use a professional jeweler for ring size but if one is unavailable this is a good at home technique
- Prepare the Materials: You will need a strip of paper or string, a ruler marked in millimeters, and a pen or marker.
- Wrap the Paper or String Around Your Finger: Wrap the strip of paper or string around the base of the finger you want to wear the ring on. Make sure it's snug but not too tight.
- Mark the Point of Overlap: Use the pen or marker to mark where the strip overlaps. Ensure that the mark is clearly visible.
- Measure the Length: Carefully unwrap the paper or string and lay it flat. Then, measure the length from the end to the marked point using a ruler. This measurement represents the circumference of your finger.
- Determine Your Ring Size: Use the following measurements to find your corresponding ring size:
- Ring Size 4: 46.7 mm (1.84 inches)
- Ring Size 5: 49.3 mm (1.94 inches)
- Ring Size 6: 51.9 mm (2.04 inches)
- Ring Size 7: 54.4 mm (2.14 inches)
- Ring Size 8: 57.0 mm (2.24 inches)
- Ring Size 9: 59.5 mm (2.34 inches)
- Ring Size 10: 62.1 mm (2.44 inches)
- Ring Size 11: 64.6 mm (2.54 inches)
- Choose the Closest Size: Once you have your measurement, compare it to the measurements above to determine the closest ring size. If your measurement falls between two sizes, it's usually best to choose the larger size for comfort.
Remember, these measurements are approximate, and it's essential to measure accurately for the best fit. If possible, measure your finger multiple times at different times of the day to ensure consistency.
Over the years in the crystal industry I have come to realize that the most important thing I can stand by is my promise of what I strive for & the assurances I can give you.
I treat everything I source from a deep space of ensuring responsible, fair & transparent purchasing. Always putting first gaining feeling confident that every purchase has been made with high expectations around commitment to reducing environmentally impact where possible, fair & safe worker conditions, fair pay & supporting small businesses with a commitment to long term sustainable relationships worldwide.
My commitment to you as I grow, evolve, learn and fall deeper into this beautiful world of crystals is I will always give you the most up to date crystal information I have access to me at the time, I will be transparent and honest in what I am selling and as new knowledge, findings and detail comes to light you will be the first to know!
It is inevitable that in any industry there is "impact" and for that reason I have moved away from promised "100% ethical purchasing", it is impossible without being on every mine site at the time of extraction, in every lapidary and in front of every step of the supply chain for me (or anyone) to promise 100% ethics of every single step, infact to some even shipping products is seen as unethical! But what I can promise you is that I continue to only work with businesses who show a solid commitment to improving the industry, to fair/responsible/transparent mining & relationship building.
