Ametrine is the natural meeting point between Amethyst and Citrine, carrying both their energies in one cohesive, harmonised form. Science
Ametrine is a naturally occurring variety of Quartz that contains both Amethyst (purple) and Citrine (yellow) zones in a single crystal. The colour split is caused by differing oxidation states of iron during formation, under varying temperature conditions. It shares the same trigonal crystal structure and hardness (7) as Quartz.

Locality
True natural Ametrine is rare and primarily found in Bolivia (Anahí Mine), with smaller and less consistent deposits in Brazil and India. Many “Ametrines” on the market are heat-treated Amethyst, so transparency of origin is key.
