Privacy Policy — Pretty Soul Stories
Pretty Soul Stories (“we”, “us”) is a New Zealand business. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. What we collect. When you shop with us, join our live sales, sign up to emails or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, order history, and the social media name you use to claim items in our live sales. We also collect information about your device and how you use our website (for example pages viewed and items added to cart) through cookies. We do not see or store your full card details; payments are handled by our payment providers.
2. How we use it. To process and deliver your orders, send order and shipping updates, match live-sale claims to invoices, answer your questions, send marketing emails if you have opted in, improve our website and products, show you relevant ads, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
3. Who we share it with. Only the service providers who help us run the store: Shopify (our online store platform), our payment providers, NZ Post and CourierPost (delivery), Klaviyo (email), Meta (Facebook and Instagram, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API), Google (analytics and ads), and our product review app. Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand; we use providers with comparable privacy safeguards. We never sell your personal information.
4. Cookies. Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly.
5. Marketing. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
6. How long we keep it. We keep order records for 7 years to meet New Zealand tax requirements. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
7. Security. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8. Your rights. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. We will respond within 20 working days. If you are not happy with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
9. Age. Our store is intended for people aged 16 and over.
10. Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
